My client, Nellie Arne, reached out to me to collaborate on a storyboard animatic. They wanted a fun, animated video that explained the rules of a homebrew, tabletop game they developed titled, Gimbus’ Gameshow. It was a D&D style, game show parody in which players would be asked D&D-related questions. If they failed or succeeded on certain rolls, the players would be put through a serious of challenges and puzzles.

B provided an original script and audio file for the commission. I edited the script and did all the boards in Procreate (after their approval of sketches and concept art). Then, I strung the audio and finished boards in Toon Boom Studio’s Storyboard Pro program.

To the left is the finished animatic for the tabletop event (you can also view it on YouTube via this link here). Below are the sketchbook sketches, concept art, and script for the commission.
