I conducted a content audit for my class, Content Strategy and Information Architecture, at UC Berkeley Extension.

My group, including Lyssa Samuel, Monica Sharma, and Harvey Lao, was tasked to conduct an information architecture audit of the Epic Games Store website.

We researched 25 tasks that could be done on the site and outlined a process to gather our data. Our tasks were categorized on Google Sheets, grouped based on the categories they could fit in. We conducted tree and category tests on users to measure the effectiveness of Epic Games Store’s IA. We found out from the results that the IA of the site was, overall, very strong. There were minor pain points about word choice, combining tabs, and lengthy clicks to complete certain tasks.

The project concluded with our presentation (on the left). We outlined in the evidence that the website had a strong IA.
